As a staff attorney, William Grey focuses his practice on representing employers in federal and state litigations, arbitrations and administrative proceedings, as well as counseling clients on employment related matters.  William frequently counsels and represents employers related to claims of discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing, and retaliation.

Prior to joining Proskauer, William was a senior counsel and co-leader of the Labor and Employment Trial Team at the New York City Law Department.  There he was one of two attorneys responsible for supervising and conducting every employment based mediation, hearing, and trial for the City of New York.  William has extensive experience trying over 30 cases to verdict in New York Federal and State Courts as well as advising heads of municipal agencies, state authorities, and political appointees.

William spent the first seven years of his career working for the Tort Division of the New York City Law Department.  There he gained extensive pre-trial and trial experience handling all manner of municipal tort claims.  He frequently litigated high profile cases involving the intersection of Constitutional rights and municipal policy.
